RANGERS defender Nathan Patterson will miss out on an appearance in the Betfred Cup against Falkirk after being forced to self-isolate following the Coronavirus scare in the Scotland Under-21 camp.
Several members of the national side have been identified as close contacts after three players - Robby McCrorie, Ross McCrorie and David Turnbull - and a member of the coaching staff tested positive for Covid-19 following the European Championship qualifier defeat to Greece.
Patterson was absent from the Rangers squad that beat Aberdeen 4-0 on Sunday and boss Steven Gerrard confirmed the right-back was one of those that had been told to self-isolate as a precautionary measure.
The Ibrox kid was set to feature against the Bairns next weekend but will miss out on a first team appearance following advice designed to limit the spread of the virus through squads.
