Former Celtic defender Ramon Vega has thrown his weight behind Neil Lennon, claiming the manager is not getting the respect he deserves from the players.

The Hoops dropped more points against Hibs last weekend with a 2-2 draw and Vega believes the players are not taking responsibility for their poor performances.

The Swiss reckons Celts must work things out or risk big in a season already worth 10 in a row. His ex-teammate, Lennon, came out swinging after full-time on Saturday afternoon, criticising his stars for lackadaisical defending.

And Vega took his comments as a sign that there could be trouble brewing in the changing room. "I’m sorry to say this needs be sort it out," Vega said on social media. "When the manager starts to criticise in public the players it looks like a lost soul in the dressing room and players not taking the responsibility and the Manager does not get the respect he should get."

Celtic have shipped points this season to the likes of Rangers - who now have an 11 point lead at the top of the Premiership - Kilmarnock and Aberdeen.
