Former West Ham and Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has stepped up his private training in a bid to land a club - amid links to Steven Gerrard's Rangers.

The England cap has been working on his fitness and skills since leaving the Hammers where he was reportedly raking in around £100,000 a week.

His deal was mutually scrapped and he has been on the look out for a new club since, with Gers being tipped to take a chance in offering the playmaker a deal at Ibrox.

Wilshere, 28, has previously shared similar videos and pictures on social media showing his work-ethic and his newest clip shows him scoring a decent finish and working on running drills.

Fans of the Light Blues have bombarded social media with hopeful messages in recent times after a report claimed the two had held discussions - an issue never confirmed.

The player spent two injury hit seasons at West Ham. He also counts Bournemouth and Bolton among his other former clubs.

We told recently how Wilshere posted a cryptic message on his Instagram with two hourglass emojis - hinting that he may be closing in on a move. Arsenal have been tipped to potentially move for their former academy starlet.
