Former Celtic youngster Darnell Fisher had his hands full at a corner with Callum Paterson in Preston's 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday last weekend.

The defender twice grabbed the Scotland cap by the PRIVATES as he looked to defend his box during his side's victory in the Championship.

As the pair jostled for position, Fisher grabbed Paterson by the balls, only for the ex-Hearts attacker to take a look at the referee to see whether or not he had spotted the 'off-the-ball' incident. As they went again to try and make space, Fisher could not resist another grab.

The FA have now charged him for his actions.

A statement released by the FA said: "Preston North End FC’s Darnell Fisher has been charged following an EFL Championship fixture against Sheffield Wednesday FC on Saturday [21/11/20].

"It is alleged that an incident during the 62nd minute of the fixture, which was not seen by the match officials at the time but caught on camera, constitutes a breach of FA Rule E3. The defender has until tomorrow [24/11/20] to provide a response to the charge."

Fisher's indiscretion was reminiscent of Hearts' Steven McLean copping a handful of ex-Celtic midfielder Eboue Kouassi in the 2018 Betfred Cup semi-final.
