Rangers welcome Benfica to Ibrox tonight as they look to continue their impressive form in the Europa League.

The pair met earlier this month in a six goal thriller in Portugal with the match ending 3-3.

Steven Gerrard would have been disappointed to come away without the three points after dominating large parts of the game.

How will they get on this time round? Here Herald and Times Sport has predicted how the Light Blues will line up.

Formation: 4-3-2-1

Allan McGregor

Gerrard's number one won't miss this one. Could play an important role with the attacking threat of Benfica.

James Tavernier

The skipper is having the season of his career so far. Stunning form and won't be dropped unless injury forces him out the team.

Connor Goldson

Solid and composed at the back of late. First pick at the moment in the centre of defence.

Filip Helander

Gerrard won't change his defensive partnership. A big night for the Swede as he looks set to face a strong frontline.

Borna Barisic

Will look to get forward as much as he can and his deliveries will be important for Rangers.

Steven Davis

Looking like Ryan Jack will miss this one due to injury. Steven Davis was rested against Aberdeen at the weekend but will come back in at Ibrox tonight.

Glen Kamara

The Finnish international will be in there to provide the legs in the middle of the park. Expect the match to be stretched throughout and he'll be asked to do a box to box job.

Scott Arfield

A man for the big occasions in Europa and loves to chip in with a goal. Will be tasked with supporting in both attack and defence.

Kemar Roofe

Starting to hit a bit of form with the Light Blues. Will probably be utilised just off Morelos in an attacking three formation.

Ryan Kent

Got back to scoring ways against Aberdeen. Was a major threat against Benfica last time out and Gerrard will be looking for more of the same at Ibrox tonight.

Alfredo Morelos

Was subbed off early against Aberdeen at the weekend in the view of resting him for this one. Will be looking to add to his impressive European goal scoring record.
