Celtic
VASILIS BARKAS 5: Beaten by Stewart’s penalty and a free header. Can’t be blamed for defeat.
HATEM ELHAMED 4: Ploughed forward on the right but offered little by way of end product. Replaced by Duffy late on.
CHRIS JULLIEN 4: Spent more time on the deck than on his feet early on, then clumsy challenge on Stewart gave away penalty.
KRISTOFFER AJER 4: Looked shaky, losing headers to Stewart and being caught in possession on a couple of occasions.
NIR BITTON 4: Hardly a presence in the game at all. Did little to influence proceedings until subbed off just after the hour.
DIEGO LAXALT 5: Didn’t offer an awful lot on the left in perhaps his quietest showing since the loan move from AC Milan.
SCOTT BROWN 5: Not much need for Brown to screen in front of defence given how deep County sat, and opening up packed defences isn’t really his strong suit.
TOM ROGIC 5: Wonderful flick put Ajeti clean through, but that was about the only thing that came off for him all day. Way below his usual standard.
RYAN CHRISTIE 4: Tried to make things happen but too often forced the play, attempting passes that weren’t close to being on.
ALBIAN AJETI 4: Sent effort off the inside of the post when in on Laidlaw, and contributed little else before being hooked with 25 to go.
ODSONNE EDOUARD 5: Peripheral figure for the most part until late snapshot on the turn went over.
SUBSTITUTES
CALLUM MCGREGOR 3: On to produce a bit of guile but wasteful.
MOI ELYOUNOUSSI 3: Almost an instant impact as he missed gilt-edged headed opportunity.
SHANE DUFFY 2: Brought on for set-piece threat but no chance to show it.
ROSS COUNTY
ROSS LAIDLAW 7: Much quieter afternoon than County keeper would have expected. Good save with his feet to deny Rogic and handled ball well.
KEITH WATSON 7: Experienced full-back gave his all on the right and managed to keep Laxalt quiet.
COLL DONALDSON 7: Played his part in huge defensive effort, winning headers and keeping it simple in possession.
ALEX IACOVITTIE 9: Towering performance at the heart of the County defence. Timed challenges well and was aggressive in the air before stunning late header gave County their second.
CALLUM MORRIS 7: Fortunate to escape punishment for a trip on Christie on the edge of the box, but played well otherwise.
JOSH REID 8: Brilliant play and lovely cross to set up Stewart for penalty. Assured in defence and got forward when he could. Great showing from the youngster.
CHARLIE LAKIN 3: Unfortunately forced off in the 13th minute with a hamstring injury.
STEPHEN KELLY 7: Plenty of industry in the midfield and showed composure in possession. Can be happy with his day’s work.
HARRY PATON 7: Flashed volley into side netting in first half then booked for a late challenge on Jullien. Ball of energy in behind Stewart, offering support when he could.
IAIN VIGURS 7: County captain dug in for the cause and put in a peach of a corner for County’s second goal.
ROSS STEWART 9: Gave Ajer a torrid time before winning penalty from Jullien and converting from the spot. Wonderful showing from the big frontman.
SUBSTITUTES
JORDAN TILLSON 7: Early replacement for Lakin and played his part.
CONNOR RANDALL 5: Great play down the right won corner for County’s second.
BILLY MCKAY 2: On to eat up the seconds late in the game.
