Moi Elyounoussi will not travel with his Celtic teammates as they prepare to take on AC Milan in Europa League action.

The attacker will nurse an injury at home as the Hoops try and pick up a much needed result in Italy.

Defender Shane Duffy will also, as confirmed by Neil Lennon, have his knee assessed before the game after picking up a knock in training.

Lennon said: "Elyounoussi won’t travel. Duffy’s having his knee assessed, he picked up a knock today so we’ll see how he is. I’ll still put a strong team out and give some players some much needed game time as well."

The manager also took time to address Sunday's defeat and the furious fan protests at full-time, explaining he, the players and his staff were gutted to watch supporters react as they did.

He added: "On the scenes on Sunday, we were disappointed and hurt. I understand the frustrations of the supporters. We are not in a great run at the minute. We are in agreement, we must do better and we have to do that with results and performances.

"For 20 years, I’ve done everything in my power to bring success to the club and fans. That’s not going to change. We are working so hard to turn everything around and the players are feeling it, they need my support as well.

"It’s a difficult time because of the results and we know we are better than that. Our reaction when we go a goal down has to be better. We are confident we can turn it around and confident we can go to Italy and put in a good performance."
