FORMER Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy reckons Steven Gerrard will be tempted to launch an ambitious loan move for out-of-favour Spurs star Dele Alli when the tranfser window reopens next month.
The 24-year-old hasn't started a league game for Jose Mourinho since the start of the season, leading to speculation over the England internationalist's future.
That prompted Murphy to suggest the midfielder could see out the season on a short-term deal at Ibrox - but, he admitted, the proposed move could be a little unrealistic for the Premiership leaders.

He told talkSPORT: "I'm not sure Dele would be up for it, but I thought maybe Stevie G at Rangers could persuade him to go there and win him the title.
"He'd play every week, score a lot of goals, get his confidence up and impress Gareth Southgate.
"There is an argument to say would that be enough scoring at that level, because it is a drop down. But I don't know.
"Maybe playing under Stevie is something that he would enjoy."
