RANGERS will monitor the progress of defender Leon Balogun after he was forced off with a head knock in the defeat to St Mirren.
Balogun was caught by Jon Obika during the closing stages of the shock 3-2 Betfred Cup quarter-final loss on Wednesday night.
And Gerrard could look to recall Filip Helander for the visit of Motherwell this weekend as he waits on a further update over Balogun's fitness.
Gerrard said: "He’s a bit dizzy. So we will analyse him over the next couple of days and take advice from the medical staff.
"Hopefully he can pull through. If not, we have Fil available again."
