Neil Lennon has revealed that Celtic may look to strengthen in the wide area in the January transfer window.

Speaking in his press conference today, the Hoops manager was asked whether he would be looking to bring in some new faces during the window.

Despite being relatively quiet on the subject, Lennon did admit that he may look to add to his attacking wide options.

Asked if he had deals lined up he said: “None at the minute. The January window is always very difficult to do business in anyway.

“We are getting a few back. We may look at the wide area, but James Forrest isn’t a million miles away.

“Mikey Johnston is now almost fully fit as well. I don’t know.

“You are always looking at options and players who may become available but we haven’t really struck a blow in any direction at the minute.

“I wouldn’t be doing four or five anyway. We will just have to suck it and see as we go along.

“At the minute I am quite content. We only really have one injury and the squad is quite vibrant."

Lennon also hopes to welcome James Forrest back soon. He added: “Jamesey will hopefully be back training in a couple of weeks. He is hugely missed.

“Not only his goals but his assists as well. He was just coming into good form when the injury occurred.

“He had actually played a couple of games with it and it just sort of deteriorated and in the end it required surgery.

“It has been a very frustrating period for him, but he looks in great shape and he is a constant professional. Having him back will be like a new signing.”
