Celtic and Rangers target Bright Osayi-Samuel has hit out at sickening racist abuse after he was targeted on social media.

The QPR winger was branded a 'dirty dog' by a yob via Instagram who also wished death upon the player as well as his family in a horrific tirade that was called out by Osayi-Samuel. The idiot also shared monkey and banana emojis.

Osayi-Samuel, who has thus far refused to sign a new deal at Loftus Road, shared the vile post and described it as 'disgusting and painful'. QPR blasted the 'abhorrent' abuse and contacted police over the matter.

Cops confirmed they are now investigating. A Metropolitan Police statement read: “Police are aware of an Instagram post made on Tuesday, 29 December. We were subsequently contacted on Wednesday, 30 December by a third party about a report of racial and abusive messages sent via social media.

“Officers will now endeavour to make contact with regards to making a report.

“There have been no arrests at this time however enquiries continue.”

It comes just days after Kilmarnock boss Alex Dyer was also targeted for racist abuse with a letter sent to the club.
