CELTIC

Barkas 6: Seemed to find his voice as understanding between goalkeeper and defence looked improved. Still does not look too comfortable in one-on-one situations and lucky United forwards had off-day.

Frimpong 7: Usual buzz-bomb self down the right-hand side but continually picked the wrong option with his final ball. Didn't stop running for 90 minutes.

Jullien 6: Composed at the back alongside Ajer and won his headers when United attempted to go long. Cleared McNulty effort off the line but clattered knee off the post for his troubles. Off injured.

Ajer 7: Swapped back to the centre of defence following a few weeks at right-back. Looked comfortable enough but bailed out by a recovering Diego Laxalt in the first-half with a ball over the top.

Laxalt 6: Linked well with Callum McGregor and David Turnbull down the left-flank but delivery was too often easily gathered by Siegrist.

McGregor 7: Spurned a decent chance to provide Griffiths with a tap-in in the first-half but kept the game moving at a frantic pace for his side. Should have scored.

Soro 8: Stunning strike for the opener and zipped around the pitch, breaking things up and making the simple passes that often go unnoticed. Definitely put his name in Neil Lennon's mind with Rangers game next up.

Turnbull 8: Certainly not shot-shy and scored a cracker with his third effort of the first-half. Desperately unlucky not to provide assist of the season so far with delicate scoop pass to Griffths who missed.

Christie 6: Given a free role but quiet afternoon by his standards. Largely wasteful from set-pieces.

Edouard 7: Kept quiet by Dundee United's defenders most of the afternoon but showed his class with deft lob over Siegrist.

Griffiths 7: On another day could have had a couple but kept at bay by Siegrist. Chance in first-half will be of particular frustration for striker as keeper saved well. Great assist over the top for Edouard.

Subs:

Bitton (on for Jullien, 51) 5: Steady at the back for the injured Jullien and long balls caused some issues.

Ajeti (for Griffiths, 77) 3: Missed a good chance from a Frimpong cross.

Rogic (for Turnbull, 77) 3: Probed when he came on but didn't offer much more than to keep hold of possession.

Brown (for Soro, 80) 3: Closed out the game with ease.

Elyounoussi (for Edouard, 80) 4: Had a shot on target after good link-up play with McGregor.

DUNDEE UTD

Siegrist 7: Did well to deny Griffiths in the first-half and Turnbull in the second. No chance with any goals.

Smith 6: Penned in by both Edouard and Griffiths and had his hands full. Booked.

Connolly 6: Relished the physical battle but outdone by Celtic's clever and intricate passing as they surged forward all afternoon.

Pawlett 5: Didn't provide much going forward due to Celtic's attacking threat throughout. Subbed.

McNulty 6: Unlucky with an effort after the restart that was hoofed off the line by Christopher Jullien. Put himself about and covered a lot of ground for his side.

Clark 5: Missed a sitter after Harkes picked him out with a clever ball forward. Only had Barkas to beat but fired his effort well wide.

Edwards 6: Played most of the game in his own half and kept on his toes by Celtic's most attacking performance of the season.

Robson 6: Had a difficult day up against Frimpong with pacey wing-back a constant threat down the side. Stuck to his task but looked shattered coming off.

Harkes 6: Not given any time at all in the midfield to pick passes but one he did pull off should have been scored by Clark.

Shankland 5: Anonymous before he was subbed on 68 minutes. Barely touched the ball as hosts spent most of the game in United's half.

Subs:

McMullan (for Shankland, 68) 4: Had a couple of runs at defence but not enough to cause any issues.

Powers (for Pawlett, 74) 3: Asked to fill in as an extra midfielder but game was well gone by this point.

Bolton (for Smith, 83) 3: Not given enough time to make a difference.

Sporle (for Robson, 83) 3: Picked up where Robson left off with Frimpong running at him constantly.
