CELTIC are weighing up a move for Sparta Prague winger David Moberg Karlsson, according to reports in the Czech Republic.

The 26-year-old, who twice featured against Neil Lennon's men in the group stages of this Europa League for Sparta, is said to have caught the eye of the Parkhead heirarchy.

Any bid would need to be around £1.5million to convince the Czechs to part with the wide man, who is also being monitored by clubs in his native Sweden.

Czech news website isport credit Celtic with an interest in Karlsson, reporting that the Premiership champions are watching the 26-year-old closely.

Karlsson, who made a handful of appearances for Kilmarnock in 2014 after joining on loan from Sunderland, got an assist in each of his side's victories over Lennon's team on the continent and caught the eye on both occasions.

The right winger has a total of 11 goals and 15 assists in all competitions for Sparta since joining from Norwegian outfit Norrkoping in the summer before last.
