FORMER Celtic striker Moussa Dembele is closing in a move to Spanish league leaders Atletico Madrid, according to Lyon sporting director Juninho.
The Frenchman spent two years at Parkhead before returning to his homeland and signing for Lyon for a fee of around £20million.
With the Parkhead club due a cut of the transfer fee for Dembele's next move, supporters have been eagerly waiting for it to transpire - and it appears they will not have to wait much longer.
Speaking to the Telefoot, Lyon fan favourite and former Brazil internationalist Juninho Pernambucano admitted that Dembele looks set to leave France this month - adding that he thinks the 24-year-old 'has found an agreement' with Diego Simeone's side.
He said: "Moussa came to see me. He thinks that this is the moment to change teams, that he has lost a bit of motivation.
"This was not something we foresaw. I like him a lot. Keeping someone who does not really want to keep up the intensity through the next five months - that is not ideal.
"We are in talks with Atletico. I think that Moussa has found an agreement with Atletico."
