RUSSIAN outfit Spartak Moscow have flown their players out to Dubai for a winter training camp - and the club's social media account couldn't help but aim a cheeky dig at Celtic after the plane touched down in the UAE.

Neil Lennon and his players flew out for their annual January training camp at the start of the month despite the Covid-19 pandemic, and were rocked by the news that defender Christopher Jullien had returned a positive Covid test upon the squad's return to Glasgow.

That led to 13 first-team players and three members of the coaching staff - including Lennon and his assistant John Kennedy - entering self-isolation, wreaking havoc on the playing squad with Premiership fixtures coming thick and fast.

The club have since faced a backlash for the decision, prompting chief executive Peter Lawwell to issue an apology to supporters on Wednesday evening.

Spartak Moscow - who have Jordan Larsson, son of Hoops idol Henrik on the books - have also jetted out to Dubai for a warm weather training camp of their own, leading the club's Twitter account to poke fun at Celtic's misfortune.
