Ex-Rangers and Hibs striker Florian Kamberi is in talks with German side VFL Bochum.

The hitman has made nine appearances for St Gallen in his native Switzerland but has yet to open his goal scoring account. But that has not stopped Bundesliga 2 side Bochum from entering discussions with a view to bringing the player on board.

Kamberi is also on the radar of a number of English Championship clubs but Herald and Times Sport understands movement down south has not gone any further than the early stages of interest. VFL Bochum, meanwhile, sit second in the table.

We told how Kamberi's career at Easter Road was over after he joined Gers on loan and declared the move a 'dream'. Jack Ross, after the spell at Ibrox ended, insisted he had played his last game in a Hibs jersey.

He said at the time: "He won't be part of my plans for the season, so we need to find a solution for both parties as soon as possible. The sooner that's done, the better for Florian as a player and for us as a club."
