Former Rangers ace Derek Ferguson reckons Shane Duffy looks 'shot to pieces' as his Celtic form continues to suffer.

Duffy was unconvincing in his side's 2-2 draw with Livingston on Wednesday evening, adding to his previous performances in green and white that left plenty to be desired.

The defender has come under serious criticism from fans and pundits alike with former Gers striker Kevin Kyle insisting the club should cut their losses and send him back to Brighton, his parent club.

Now Ferguson, speaking on Open Goal, has also questioned the on loan star's form as well as his mind-set, believing the player has looked 'all over the ship' and continues to struggle to adapt to playing for Celtic.

"The big boy Duffy is getting battered from pillar to post," Ferguson said. "He looks all over the ship, and he should've been taken out of that. I didn't watch Saturday's game but watching [against Livingston], his distribution is all over the place and the guy, his mind-set looks shot to pieces."

We told how Andy Halliday was another who claimed Duffy looks completely bereft of confidence. The Hearts midfielder reckons it would be even WORSE if the Irishman was playing in front of a capacity 60,000 fans week-in, week-out.

He said: "He does, he looks as if he's got no confidence whatsoever, none. Obviously I wasn't on for the last Old Firm game but he was on for about two minutes and the ball dropped to him and he tried to flick it away with the side of his foot. It's like he has no confidence at all."
