Steven Gerrard has provided an injury update on Ryan Jack and Kemar Roofe as the pair attempt to be ready for tomorrow's Ross County clash.

Jack has been out of action for more than two months while Roofe has been nursing an injury and has missed the last number of games.

But Gerrard was optimistic about both potentially being involved at Ibrox tomorrow afternoon as they aim to go 23 points ahead of Celtic at the top of the Premiership with a win over John Hughes's Staggies.

The manager said: "Ryan Jack is back in the squad for tomorrow. Kemar Roofe we will make a decision on today as he returns to training."

Another player who has been missing injured in recent weeks is Scott Arfield, But while the manager admitted he is still not back in the fold, he put a realistic timeline on when the Canadian may be ready to return to training, alongside Nikola Katic. He added: " Katic is progressing well. Arfield also progressing well and hopefully on track for a return early Feb to the group."
