Jack Wilshere has revealed Rangers boss Steven Gerrard made no contact with him over any free transfer before he joined Bournemouth.
The England cap was linked with Ibrox for a number of weeks after he departed West Ham as Gerrard eyed up midfield options.
The player himself admitted that he would at the very least consider anything had it came from Glasgow down to the admiration he has for the Light Blues boss, his former international teammate Gerrard.

But when asked in a Twitter Q&A if he had been approached about Rangers as a destination, he issued an emphatic response. "Nope!" he replied when one social media user asked: "Did Stevie Gerrard ever contact you about signing for Rangers before you went to Bournemouth? #askwilsh".
Wilshere penned a short-term six month deal with the Cherries this month after leaving London in the summer in a mutual decision.
He had been working in the gym on his own and with his trainers in a bid to bolster his fitness to help find a new club.
