Steven Gerrard has broken another record this season, becoming the fastest Rangers manager to reach 150 games in charge.

The Liverpool icon takes his side for the 150th time in the dugout this afternoon as they aim to go 23 points clear at the top of the Premiership table against Ross County.

Gerrard has taken just 926 days to reach the milestone number of fixtures as head coach, beating Dick Advocaat by just one day who managed the feat in 927 days.

The club confirmed the news on social media this afternoon, saying: "Steven Gerrard will today become the quickest Rangers manager to reach 150 matches in charge as his side take on Ross County at Ibrox."

Gerrard also beats out the likes of club legends Walter Smith (956), John Greig (959), Graeme Souness (1001) and Alex McLeish (1051).

Gers this season have broken some defensive records for their incredible shutouts on league duty. They also equalled and then bested a 114-year record of consecutive games without conceding held by Willie Maley's Celtic side.
