REPORTS were circulating on Sunday morning that Celtic could look to replace Neil Lennon with former Newcastle United and Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez - but former Ibrox ace Kris Boyd is having none of it.
The 60-year-old Spaniard, who is currently out of work after leaving Chinese outfit Dalian Professional, has been linked with a move to Parkhead with current boss Lennon under serious pressure in Glasgow's east end.
Any move for Benitez would be an ambitious one - with Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague pouring cold water on the idea on Sunday morning - but Celtic do have precedent here, having succesfully lured Brendan Rodgers to the Premiership back in 2016.
Rafa Benitez to Celtic? There was interest in him but not an option today

He's going to rest for a bit, despite offers (from Germany, also a national side...)
By the way, about Celtic: there is a false document doing the rounds (check the phone number 😂) https://t.co/X40LCU1riq
Boyd, however, can't see Benitez pitching up at Parkhead anytime soon - with the former Rangers and Killie striker joking that Spanish tennis star Rafa Nadal is more likely to take charge of a Scottish club than the ex-Real Madrid and Napoli manager.
Posting on Instagram, Boyd shared a picture of Nadal with the caption: "More chance of seeing this Rafa in Scotland", adding a picture of Spanish comedian El Risitas, who has gone viral for laughing hysterically.
