Alfredo Morelos could be in hot water over his alleged stamp on Hibs defender Ryan Porteous.

The Rangers hitman was involved in a coming together with the Scotland under-21s internationalist and appeared to stand on his opponent, though referee Kevin Clancy did not show any card at the time.

Morelos stayed on the pitch to score the winner at Easter Road, an issue that infuriated Jack Ross who said: "It’s a red card," he said. "You can ask me and I don’t think my opinion is going to be different to every single person here and every single person who watched it.

"It’s quite an easy one to say it should be a red card, but obviously it’s been missed by the match officials."

Now, with the fast-track SFA process' deadline 3pm this afternoon for the compliance officer to take action, Morelos could face retrospective action should the panel deem fit.

Hibs defender Darren McGregor could also be in trouble after a clash with Glen Kamara.

The 35-year-old hauled the midfielder down  and then appeared to catch his shin and footage of that challenge will also be reviewed.

We told how Morelos has been retrospectively punished once already this season when he was pulled up for an elbow on Dundee United's Mark Connolly. The Colombian was hit with a two-match ban.
