RANGERS will look to recruit more than 100,000 supporters to their MyGers membership scheme as fans are given the chance to invest directly into the club over the next five years.

MyGers was launched last year to give punters exclusive access to their club and reward them for their continued financial investment in the Light Blues.

Funds raised through the scheme are used to boost the transfer kitty that Sporting Director Ross Wilson and Steven Gerrard have at their disposal.

And that will help the Gers build on their upcoming title success as Gerrard prepares for a crack at the Champions League next term by adding further strength and depth to his Ibrox squad.

Rangers have set ambitions targets to ramp up the numbers of fans that sign on at Ibrox and Deputy Chairman, John Bennett, said: “I am proud to be one of the many investors in our beloved club.

"You can contribute too, becoming a MyGers Member ensures funds are invested directly and immediately into the first-team squad and our transfer budget.”

Rangers sold out their allocation of season tickets for the Premiership campaign this term despite the impact of Coronavirus and fans have been forced to watch on from afar as Gerrard's side close in on the title.

But the backing of supporters through MyGers has been invaluable to the Ibrox board as the scheme has quickly become one of the most profitable and well-backed membership programmes in British football.

The Gers are now just weeks away from their first league flag in a decade and boss Gerrard said: “Even during the pandemic, and football being played behind closed doors, Rangers fans continue to raise the bar for loyalty and support for their club.

“Time and time again, my backroom staff and I are taken aback by the passion of our fans.”
