Ross County boss John Hughes has revealed Scott Arfield sent him a thank you message after his side beat Celtic 1-0 last weekend.
The Staggies earned what looks like a vital win at both ends of the table thanks to Jordan White's winning header. It sees Rangers 18 points ahead of their rivals with just jus 24 points to play for.
And, for his helping hand in keeping the Light Blues significantly in front of the Hoops, former Falkirk midfielder Arfield thanked his old manager for slaying Celts.
Hughes told Go Radio: "He (Arfield) text me last night: 'Thanks gaffer, thanks for the help out'.
"So, absolutely delighted for him."
County's win over Celtic heaped further pressure on Neil Lennon but for Hughes, it took his side off the foot of the table and into 10th spot.
Gers, meanwhile, scored a 4-1 in over Dundee Utd at Ibrox, meaning their 55th league title could be won BEFORE they travel across Glasgow to play Celtic at Parkhead on March 21.
