Celtic's Christopher Jullien has shared footage of himself walking without crutches as he steps up his bid to return from injury.

The French defender faces up to nine months on the sidelines with a serious knee injury after being stretchered off against Dundee United back in December.

Manager Neil Lennon confirmed the lengthy time out but Jullien is wasting no time in getting back to work after travelling home to France for rehab.

Sharing a clip on Instagram of himself using leg weights, he then posted one of him walking without the crutches he had been using. Though the centre-half still has on a leg brace.

He captioned the footage: "Walking crutches free 💪🏽 Let's keep moving forward. #StayPositive".

We told how Jullien has had a tough time this season after also testing positive for Covid-19 and the club permitted him to head home to rehab in his own comfort.

He has been working at Clairefontaine, a football facility which caters to France's top stars.
