Steven Gerrard admits he’s not surprised to see Neil Lennon leave Celtic.
The Rangers manager provided his thoughts on his counterpart’s resignation this morning.
Gerrard’s side sit 18 points ahead of the Hoops and their stunning form - unbeaten in the league - has coincided this term with Celtic’s poor run.
And the Light Blues gaffer says he could see the writing was on the wall for Lennon given the current standings.
“I can’t say I’m surprised because of what’s been going on over there this season,” he said.
“I obviously take no personal satisfaction from seeing that news for Neil or any other manager that happens to.
“I wish him well for the future. "I only really found out about it this morning but obviously the focus for me is sitting on the game tomorrow."
