Celtic interim boss John Kennedy has added Stephen McManus to his first team coaching set-up.
The former captain has been coaching at Parkhead with the reserves but he will now make the step up to the first team.
A Parkhead statement read: "Celtic Coach and former Captain, Stephen McManus, will be working alongside John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan as part of the first team coaching staff."
Meanwhile, Herald and Times Sport understands that Scott Brown will not be given further coaching responsibilities with the Scottish champions.
Reports had suggested that the skipper would be given extra responsibility on the training ground, but for the time being he will remain in his position of club captain.
