STEVEN GERRARD has urged his side to seize the moment and ensure March is a special month at Ibrox as Rangers bid for Premiership glory and Europa League progress.

A run of five games over the next four weeks could prove to be defining for Rangers and Gerrard and his players have the chance to write their names in the Ibrox history books this term.

Just seven points are required from the Premiership fixtures with Livingston, St Mirren and Celtic this month to end a decade long wait for a top flight title and deliver the first silverware of Gerrard's reign.

On the continent, Slavia Prague stand between Rangers and a place in the quarter-finals of the Europa League as they attempt to surpass their achievement of 12 months ago as they were eliminated at the last 16 stage.

And Gerrard is confident Rangers will make the most of the chance that lies ahead this term and become heroes to a support that have been starved of success over the last ten years.

Gerrard said: "The players are well aware of it. We see it as a real, exciting opportunity.

"March could be a real special month. But having said that, we have to go and grab it.

"We have to go and put in performances that get us over the line from a league point of view and also that try and build on our journey in terms of the Europa League.

"We are coming up against a team that deserves respect, especially when you look at the journey they have been on by knocking out a Premier League team. But we believe we have a good chance if we can find our level.

"So it’s time to go and deliver. It’s time to go and find performances that are good enough to go and get us over the line.

"We are hoping March will be a really successful month for us."
