RANGERS PLAYER RATINGS

ALLAN MCGREGOR 7

The goalkeeper was hardly involved in the first-half. He did, though, get a talking to from Steven McLean after making his opinion on one of the referee’s decisions clear. Denied St Mirren substitute Jon Obika with a fingertip save in the second-half to help his team keep their 14th clean sheet at Ibrox in the Premiership.

NATHAN PATTERSON 7

Retained his place at right back despite Leon Balogun returning from injury. Performed his defensive duties well and got forward when he could. Another impressive and mature display from the youngster.

CONNOR GOLDSON 7

Picked out Ryan Kent before the opening goal. The centre half then went close to netting Rangers’ third goal after getting on the end of a Borna Barisic free-kick in the St Mirren area. Injured himself in the process, but played on after receiving medical attention

FILIP HELANDER 6

Forced Dylan Connolly wide after the St Mirren midfielder burst into the Rangers penalty box in the first-half. Made way for Leon Balogun before an hour had been played.

BORNA BARISIC 6

The Croatian left back was untroubled at the back and played some dangerous dead ball deliveries into the St Mirren penalty box.

JOE ARIBO 7

Tested St Mirren keeper Jak Alnwick with a long-range effort early in the first-half. Caused the visitors all kinds of problems and created space for his team mates by dragging players wide. Had a hand in the second goal.

STEVEN DAVIS 7

The Northern Ireland captain played some penetrating through balls into the final third of the park. Was taken off by Steven Gerrard before an hour had been played. The central midfield lynchpin wll be fresh for the hue game in the Czech Republic on Thursday night.

GLEN KAMARA 7

Excellent. Supplied Morelos for his goal with a perfectly-weighted pass into the St Mirren penalty box. The Finnish midfielder oozed class and quality throughout.

IANIS HAGI 7

Came in for Scott Arfield in the only change to the starting line-up from Livingston on Wednesday night. The Romanian was good on the ball and stood up to some physical challenges. Showed great composure to slot home a third early in the second-half. Picked up a booking for a foul on Ethan Erhahon.

RYAN KENT 8

Opened the scoring with a stunning strike in the 13th minute to take his tally for the 2020/21 campaign to 11. The winger has now scored four times in five games. Set up Hagi for the third.

The Colombian continued his rich vein of form with his 15th goal of the season and his fourth in four matches. His precise first-time shot went in off the inside of the left post.
