Celtic hero Alan Thompson has aimed a pop at Rangers after the Ibrox outfit were officially declared Scottish Premiership champions.

Fans in their thousands descended on the stadium yesterday after they beat St Mirren 3-0, then today again after the Hoops dropped points away to Dundee Utd, meaning Gers were mathematically unable to be stopped.

Flares and smoke bombs along with fireworks were set off by supporters and smoke plumes filled the air outside the ground, And when the Light Blues sealed their title, Thompson could not miss the opportunity to take aim at his former rivals after they won their first league trophy in 10 years.

Referencing the smoke from the flares, Thompson shared a picture with the caption: "Live picture from Ibrox as the cleaner opens the trophy cabinet. #10yrsofdust". His photo racked up thousands of likes and shares after it was posted.
