Andy Walker has questioned Odsonne Edouard's attitude this season and claims he OWES Celtic a performance this afternoon.

The former Hoops striker believes Edouard has not been at his best this term, despite the Frenchman netting 21 goals in 35 appearances in all competitions. Walker reckons he has not looked himself this campaign, though, and has to put in a shift at Parkhead when he comes up against champions Rangers.

Walker, who played for the club between 1987 and 1991, also insists the rest of the Celtic squad must restore some pride in themselves and for their fans after losing the league. They currently sit 20 points behind the Light Blues, and Walker says that's nowhere near good enough.

"They need to restore some pride, pride for themselves as players and maybe try to get a bit of pride into the supporters who have been continually let down this season by the level of performance Celtic have given," he told Sky Sports. "So there's no bigger game in the season than this one and Celtic, I think, when you look at the last time they played here, didn't manage a shot on target. That surely has to change, as John Kennedy was saying, lay down some sort of marker for the next one at Ibrox and of course for next season.

"I think there's a lack of care, a lack of concentration at that final moment. There's no problem creating chances or getting into the wide areas, getting balls into the box, they've got a lot of attacking threat, Odsonne Edouard, we know what he's capable of. I'm not so sure his attitude has been spot on for the whole season, I think he owes his teammates and the Celtic fans a big performance. He's the one that can make a big difference.

"Ryan Christie's been terrific, David Turnbull is always a goal scoring threat from midfield but I think when you look at Celtic defensively, they've had three goalkeepers this season. They have chopped and changed from a back-three to a back-four, different defensive partnerships, they have to try and get it right today and show the supporters they can beat a really good team. Rangers' consistency has been unbelievable this season."

Meanwhile Gers' Alfredo Morelos has not yet scored against Celtic during his four year stint at Ibrox but Walker praised his temperament this season and reckons today could be his day.

"Well he's had enough chances here, hasn't he, to get a goal," he added. "I think you look at the way he's played for Rangers this season, when you think about his attitude, Lille were apparently interested and had agreed terms, Rangers as a club couldn't agree a fee, but there's been no problem with Morelos and his attitude this season. He would love nothing more than a goal against Celtic. That would cap his season off, but he has to be more clinical and find that cutting edge."
