SCOTT WRIGHT is grateful for the support and advice from experienced Ibrox duo Allan McGregor and Steven Davis as he settles into life at Rangers.
The forward has made a positive start to his career with Steven Gerrard's side following his move from Aberdeen during the January transfer window.
Wright is set to feature for the champions when they begin their Scottish Cup campaign with a third round tie at home to Cove Rangers on Sunday evening.
It has been an encouraging few days for Gerrard as both McGregor and Davis have put pen-to-paper on new deals that will keep them at Ibrox beyond the end of the season.
And Wright is delighted to have both wise old heads on board for another campaign as he bids to make his mark with Rangers in the final stages this term.
“He’s fantastic," Wright said of Davis. "I knew how good a professional he was even before I came to Rangers but it’s been a pleasure to come here and see just how hard he works.
“He’s a leader on and off the pitch. He’s not so vocal with it, but he leads by example and it’s an incredible achievement to make 126 appearances for your country. Everybody at Rangers is delighted for him.

“It’s fantastic for us as a team and the whole club too [that Allan has signed a new contract]. The fans are absolutely delighted.
"It’s definitely good [to have McGregor and Davis]. They have obviously experienced a lot of things in their careers and have been at Rangers before.
"They know what it entails to be a Rangers player – on and off the pitch.
"So for someone like me to come in with not as much experience, it’s great to be able to pick their brains a wee bit and use that to help me as much as possible."
