Reports this morning have suggested that Leigh Griffiths could be freed by Celtic this summer with two Scottish Premiership clubs waiting in the wings.
The Scottish Sun say Aberdeen and Hibernian are on stand by to pounce for Griffiths' signature if he is released by the Hoops.
The Scotland international is currently waiting to find out whether he will be offered a one-year contract extension at Parkhead. The report also states that a decision must be made on this deal by April 30.
Celtic captain Scott Brown has already switched to Pittodrie and that could play a part in Griffiths' thinking.
The 35-year-old Hoops captain will relocate to Pittodrie in a player-coach role under new boss Stephen Glass in the summer after 14 success-laden years at Celtic Park where he won 22 trophies.
Celtic are still in search of a new manager after Neil Lennon resigned in February with assistant John Kennedy in temporary charge.
