Rangers star Brandon Barker will undergo a hamstring scan after picking up an injury on Tuesday night.
The winger is currently on-loan at Oxford United and limped out of their 4-1 win over Shrewsbury Town.
Barker was replaced by Mide Shodipo and The Us are expected to learn more about the extent of Barker's injury after his scan today.
Head coach Karl Robinson said: “On assessment this morning, it’s not as bad as what we thought.
"At the time it was a precautionary thing.
"There’ll be something there, to what extent we don’t know.
"He’s not our player, so we’ve got to make sure we do everything right.”
It is understood that Barker would return to Rangers if his injury was to rule him out for the rest of the season.
The 24-year-old has made 19 apperances for the League One outfit, scoring three goals and assisting four occasions.
