Rangers have confirmed a new major shareholder at the club.
The Ibrox outfit provided an update on their investor information page from their website revealing Perron Investments had taken a stake in the club.
Perron is run by John Halsted who now holds a 4.16 percent stake which equates to 16.25million shares in the Premiership champions.
The company's own website states: "John Halsted has advised that he is the beneficial owner of the shares held by Perron Investments LLC."
Halsted is the president of Pamplona Capital Management which, according to their own website, has raised five private equity funds with total committed capital of $11billion. That equates to around £7.87billion.
Bloomberg reports that Halsted studied at Harvard Business School.
