WHAT A season Rangers had in 1963 and 1964, when they won the mighty treble.
Here the team is celebrating the 3-1 victory over Dundee which allowed them to claim the Scottish Cup in front of 120,000 fans at Hampden Stadium.
Earlier in the competition, in a second round match against Duns at Ibrox, Rangers had demolished their rivals 9-0, and Jimmy Millar scored four of them.
Now 86, Edinburgh-born Millar was a sensation at the Glasgow club.
He had already dazzled at Dunfermline, which is where Rangers manager Scott Symon spotted him, snapping him up for £5000 in 1955.
He and fellow striker Ralph Brand became a force to be reckoned with and much feared throughout Scottish football.
In the 1959-60 season, he scored 21 goals in 30 League games, including four against Arbroath, a hat-trick against Clyde and the only goal of the game to beat Celtic in the New Year’s match.
In this Scottish Cup final, Millar scored two of Rangers’ three goals.
