Norwich City are keen on Kris Ajer after sealing promotion to the Premier League.
The Celtic defender looks set to leave the club this summer after five years and could be heading straight to England's top tier after being watched by the Canaries.
Herald and Times Sport understands Daniel Farke has had the player watched but there could potentially be a sticking point in the finances surrounding any deal.
Celts would be hoping to land a decent fee for the player but Norwich are unlikely to splash out the valuation of around £12million for the Norwegian.
They do, however, want another central defender to challenge Scotland cap Grant Hanley and Burnley loanee Ben Gibson who will join permanently this coming window.
