RANGERS keeper Allan McGregor has been named SPFL Premiership Player of the Year to complete an Ibrox awards double.
Boss Steven Gerrard collected the Manager of the Year prize on Friday morning and McGregor has now claimed his gong after a remarkable campaign.
The 39-year-old has been a stand-out performer for the champions this term and he will look to help Gerrard's side end the campaign on a high against Aberdeen on Saturday.
McGregor has committed his future to Rangers for next season and Gerrard is delighted to see him recognised for his efforts at Ibrox.
Gerrard said: "There were other names that would have been in the running from our point of view, I think we have had some real consistent performers across the season but I can’t argue against the decision and against Greegsy.
"He has been magnificent for me and put in some world class performances.
"Some of the saves I have seen him make this season I haven’t seen before.
"Thoroughly deserved. I am really pleased for him."
