Rangers legend Ally McCoist has sent his well wishes to departing Ibrox midfielder Jamie Barjonas.

The 22-year-old announced that he would be leaving the Light Blues yesterday when he published an emotional post on Instagram.

It read: "So, after 14 years my time at Rangers has come to and end. From soccer schools on Sundays to making my first team debut I’ve made so many amazing memories that will stay with me for life.

"To the unbelievable fans who make the club so special I’d like to say thank you for the support.

"To everyone who played a part along the way I will be forever grateful & I wish the club nothing but success in the future💙"

In the comments of Barjonas' post, McCoist wrote: "Very best of luck. Go and flourish 👍⚽️"

Former Ibrox player Josh Windass also commented, saying: "Good luck boss . That celebration away at partick is a classic 😂 @clinthilly3"

Barjonas spent the final weeks of last season on loan with Championship side Ayr United and will leave Rangers at the end of his contract this summer.
