CELTIC youngster Karamoko Dembele has emerged as a shock trasfer target for FC Nordsjaelland, according to reports.

The highly-rated 18-year-old has struggled for game time since making his senior debut against Hearts two years ago and has just eight first team appearances to his name in his career, having spent a total of 112 minutes on the pitch.

Dembele's contract is expiring at the end of next season meaning a cut-price move could be in the offing - with the Scottish Sun reporting that Danish side Nordsjaelland have made the diminutive winger their top transfer target.

With 19-year-old Kamaldeen Sulemana expected to leave the club this summer, the Superliga club could be on the lookout for a direct replacement for the Ghanaian.

The report adds that Manchester United are also keeping tabs on Dembele, who Nordsjaelland have been watching closely since January.

Dembele scored his first goal for Celtic in the Hoops' 4-0 thrashing of St Johnstone in the Parkhead side's final home game of the season.
