Fraser Murray could leave Hibs this summer - with Dunfermline hoping to entice him back to East End Park.
The midfielder enjoyed a loan spell at the Pars this season where he played 31 games in all competitions as Stevie Crawford's men made it to the Premiership play-off quarter-final before eventually losing out to Raith Rovers.
Herald and Times Sport understands Hibs would be keen to keep the player at Easter Road but Murray is looking for more regular football and it is unlikely he will be able to force his way into the starting XI next season after Jack Ross's side finished third in the league.
It is understood Dunfermline would face competition from clubs down south in League 2 but the player - who remains under contract until summer 2023 - will have time to make a decision.
Murray, still just 22, has played 29 times for Hibs since making his debut in 2016 but has not established himself as a starter
