Celtic have confirmed there will be no season ticket renewal extension this term as they asked fans to sign up.

They also revealed 'reduced capacity' plans for crowds inside the stadium when next season rolls around.

With the fixtures recently announced for the new campaign, the Hoops hoped to analyse an estimate of numbers and demand for briefs.

But with tickets expected to sell well the Glasgow giants confirmed there would be no renewal extension and that the deadline to sign up would be June 25.

A statement on the website read: "As we approach the start of the 2021/22 campaign, we are excited to be planning for the return of supporters to Celtic Park.

"It’s been well over a year since we’ve had you at Paradise, and we are now working hard behind the scenes to welcome you back safely and ensure we are fan-ready for reduced capacity matches.

"Supporters who wish to attend reduced capacity matches must register for My Celtic Matchday, which will help us to understand the desired requirements for each season ticket holder.

"Fans can register individually or in groups of up to six people, adhering to current social distancing protocols, and all members of each group must have renewed their season ticket for the forthcoming season.

"The deadline to renew your Season Ticket is 5pm on Friday, 25 June 2021, and there will be NO extended deadline this year.

"This will give us enough time to gather you and your group of family and friends’ seating requirements, and to prepare for your safe return to Celtic Park. We can’t wait to welcome you back home to Paradise. Tickets for reduced capacity matches will be allocated in a ballot which fans must opt-into via My Celtic Matchday.

"Please allow 24 hours after renewal before you attempt to register.

"How matches will be balloted will be communicated at a later date, but you MUST opt-in online before the deadline of 2pm, 1st July - please refer to this handy step-by-step guide for submitting a matchday application."

Depending on the tier system for coming out of lockdown, there could still only be a maximum of 2000 fans inside Parkhead.
