A UK Government minister has urged Scotland fans to get back up the road ahead of the team's big match against England tonight.

Thousands of Tartan Army members have descended on London to cheer on the national team who face off against the Auld Enemy at Wembley.

But Kit Malthouse, the crime and police minister, has said "it's not too late" for Scotland fans to head home and warned the Metropolitan Police have put a dispersal order in place in the nation's capital.

Speaking on Talkradio today, Mr Malthouse said: "It is, I am afraid, unfortunate that so many came despite encouraging them not to, and I know that the Met Police put a dispersal order in central London to make sure that people weren’t crowding into the centre.”

Glasgow Times:

Sadiq Khan, the city's Labour mayor has issued a number of pleas, which have gone unheeded, for fans not to travel to the city for the game. 

The Tory MP added: "I hope that they do obey that, they disperse and find somewhere socially distanced to watch the match, or indeed it’s not too late for them to get a ticket home of course, and get on the train this afternoon if they’ve got nowhere.”
