Billy Gilmour says he was "gutted" to miss out on Scotland's final Euro 2020 game against Croatia - but the Chelsea midfielder admits he was proud to pull on the navy blue.
Gilmour made his full Scotland debut against England at Wembley and starred as Steve Clarke's side picked up a well earned point.
Ahead of the final group stage fixture Gilmour tested positive for coronavirus and unfortunately missed out as Scotland were sent crashing out the tournament against Croatia at Hampden.
Writing on Instagram, Gilmour said: "Unbelievable experience to play in my first major international tournament over the past couple of weeks.
"On a personal note, gutted to miss out on our final game due to Covid - thank you for all your messages.
"We hope this is the first of many major international tournaments over the coming years…. you all deserve it and we hope to make you proud in the future. Thank you Scotland."
