Tommy Johnson is a frontrunner to become Aberdeen's new head of recruitment, according to reports.
The former Celtic attacker has been working as a headhunter.
Dons have been on the hunt for a new recruiter to work alongside new manager Stephen Glass and his backroom staff.
And new sporting director at Pittodrie, Steven Gunn, has been tasked with the role of bringing in a new head of recruitment, which the Daily Mail claim is a role Johnson could fit.
Johnson, 50, currently works in the same position at Blackpool in England's Championship but could be tempted north of the border to the Granite City.
The retired striker had the opportunity last season to work alongside former teammate Henrik Larsson at Southend with the Swede hoping to take his pal with him into the management position.
But Johnson snubbed the chance at the eleventh hour, ruining Larsson's chances at the job - though he landed on his feet as Ronal Koeman's assistant boss at Barcelona.
