Rangers have overtaken Celtic as the most valuable squad in Scottish football.

That's according to new figures at respected data website Transfermarkt.

Steven Gerrard's squad is valued at a total of £89.37million while rival Celts sit at £70.83million in total market value.

Celtic still boast the most expensive player in Odsonne Edouard who is worth, according to the site, £15.3million while Gers' top market value player is Ryan Kent whose value has shot up to £12.6million.

Glasgow Times:

The Light Blues, meanwhile, had a consistent number of players' growth surpass expectations and their value greatly improved.

Connor Goldson's price tag went up £2m to £7.5million, Joe Aribo shot up £3m to £6.5m and captain James Tavernier continued at £8m market value.

Elsewhere in Scotland, Hibs' market value (£19.55m) took them to third in the table in front of Aberdeen (£10.96m) while newly promoted Hearts are fifth with a market value of £7.88m.

Ross County sit at the foot of the market value table with a total of £4.66m.
