Rangers kick their pre-season off with a short trip to play Partick Thistle next week.

The Ibrox outfit are back on the training pitch ahead of their new Premiership season where they will look to defend their crown as the top club in Scotland from last term.

They are back in action against the Jags next week, who themselves have life in the Championship to prepare for following their own title-winning promotion to try and follow again this year.

But is the game on TV? When and where will it be played? Will fans be able to watch the match?

Here's what we know so far.

When and where will the game be played?

Rangers travel to Firhill where Partick Thistle will host the match.

It will be played on Monday, July 5.

Kick-off time will be 7pm.

Is there any way for fans to tune in?

The game will be played behind closed doors.

It is also not scheduled to be broadcast on live TV.

It is yet to be announced whether either Partick Thistle or Rangers TV will show the match on their club's channels.

Team news

It is likely both Ian McCall and Steven Gerrard will look to use the bulk of their squad to get minutes into their legs.

Gers will have the option of handing new boy Nnamdi Ofoborh a debut in the midfield while Thistle can blood Kyle Turner who joined from Dunfermline at the end of the season.

There is likely to be heavy rotation in the 90 minutes.
