ANGE POSTECOGLOU'S first match in charge of Celtic was slightly soured after just three minutes when ex-Rangers striker Josh Windass netted.

The former Light Blues attacker scored inside the opening minutes as Celtic started their pre-season against Sheffield Wednesday.

The Hoops are in Wales as they ramp up preparations for their crucial Champions League qualifier against FC Midtjylland and the league season.

Celtic are currently in action against The Owls at Dragon Park in Newport, they will then play Charlton at the same venue before a trip to take on Bristol City.

Postecoglou named his starting side with a host of young talents involved including Liam Shaw making his debut, and Albian Ajeti handed the captaincy.

But just three minutes in the Hoops fell behind as Windass, who was a favourite amongst Gers fans, fired home the opening goal.

The Sheffield Wednesday Twitter reported that Liam Palmer picked out Windass in the penalty area before the attacker applied a first-time finish into the bottom corner.

But the Hoops have since levelled the scores with Albian Ajeti on target with 33 minutes played.

Windass made 73 appearances for Rangers, scoring 19 goals and providing 13 assists.

He left Rangers to join Wigan in a £2.5 million deal before being moving to Sheffield Wednesday.
