Celtic TV gave a studio debut to Louise Gould, the daughter of former goalkeeper Jonathan, for their pre-season clash against Sheffield Wednesday today.

Many Hoops fans were enquiring about the multimedia journalist as they took in Ange Postecoglou's first match as manager on Celtic TV.

The official Celtic TV Twitter page responded saying: "For those asking the co-presenter is @Lou_Gould whose dad, Jonathan, used to play in goal for the Hoops!👍🍀"

Postecoglou got off to a winning start as Hoops boss as the Parkhead outfit defeated Wednesday at the Dragon Park complex in Newport where the two teams are based for pre-season.

Goals from Albian Ajeti, Owen Moffat and Odsonne Edouard gave Celtic victory, with ex-Rangers man Josh Windass grabbing the other goal of the game.

Meanwhile, James Forrest’s hopes of making a flying start to the new era at Celtic have been hit by a coronavirus issue.

The winger sat out most of last season with an ankle injury and was badly missed before returning late in the campaign and making a brief appearance for Scotland at Euro 2020.

But he is absent from Celtic’s training camp in Wales as new boss Ange Postecoglou bids to imprint his ideas on the squad.

Celtic confirmed on Twitter that Forrest was not present at the camp as he had been identified as a close contact of a positive Covid-19 case.

Christopher Jullien is also still in Glasgow as he works on his fitness following a long-term knee injury.
