ANGE Postecoglou has refused to rule James Forrest out of the Champions League qualifier with Midjtylland on Tuesday weekdespite the Celtic winger being forced to self-isolate after coming into close contact with someone with Covid-19.

Forrest hasn't joined the Parkhead squad on pre-season in Wales and missed the friendly win over Sheffield Wednesday in Newport yesterday.

However, Postecoglou believes beng involved in Euro 2020 this summer will help the forward integrate back into the squad quickly when he is cleared to come out of quarantine - and is confidet he can be involved against Midtjylland.

“It’s like a lot of the population,” he said. “It’s stuff you have to get on with. Again the good thing is up until recently he was involved with the Scotland squad. I don’t expect him to be too far off the pace when he comes back in.

“I know he is really keen to come back in. I’m looking forward to getting him in because I think he will be an exciting part of what we’re trying to build.

“I’m not sure if it’s a problem for the Midtjylland tie at the moment. I will tell you when we get to that point. I’m dealing with what’s in front of me.

“I have only had since Monday with the whole squad. By the end of this camp I will have a much better idea of where we’re at. We are working hard to try and get people in as well and I’m hoping all those things resolve themselves quickly.”
